Writing is a tool I use to express and search myself. I use it to reflect on who I am, how I became this person and to plan for the future. There is no better way to question and search the world than to put thoughts some place where they can be read, changed, molded and transformed into beliefs, dreams, questions and goals.
Writing is a source of power. When a person has the ability to question, search and express her thoughts she owns something real. She owns something that no one can take away; a voice, a self. It is not only important for me to write, but for me to help other people learn to enjoy writing because doing so provides them with this power.
I have wanted to be a writer for as long as I can remember and that dream has grown into a reality. Since I was young I have kept journals and in those pages I practiced playing with language, molding my words into meaning. Now, in reality, I can consider myself a writer; it is a passion I have dedicated myself to and while I can't say it is my career I know it is more then a hobby.
